What’s a woman to do when she notices the first (of many) symptoms of her starting menopause, and her marriage is a long string of humiliations and verbal abuse? Well, in the case of Elpida, nothing.

Sure, in her imagination she does a lot: make out with a neighbour in the stairwell, finally tell her husband what she thinks of him, put garlic in his dinner even though he’s allergic. But in reality she continues to suffer in silence. Unless her reveries are actually reality, and vice versa? And what if her (and our) uncertainty about what’s real is also a symptom of her menopause?
