20 nights of undiscovered cinema under the stars

Of course you can count on Pluk again this year! On Friday August 11 2023 we will settle down in Utrecht and from Wednesday August 23 till September 2 you can find us at the good old Stenen Hoofd in Amsterdam. Join us for one or more of the twenty evenings filled with great films under a starry sky. Ticket sales for the movie nights start end of July, when we’ve published the programme.

Picture Pluk

The nights are still chilly but the blankets and fires are keeping us warm. We do get to start off with a few rays of sunshine or with live music, enjoy the starry skies and the movies, of course. On Sunday, we played host to a whole bunch of cute minis on the Stenen Hoofd. They watched Minuscule and had adventures.

Pluk in full swing

Stop the clock. The nights are moving much too quickly as we’re watching great movies, playing for keeps in the games on the screen, trying to stay warm under our blankets and when that fails, sitting by the fire. The Summer weather is on back order but you’re not bothered. That much is clear. Take a look at the pics by Melanie Lemahieu.

Pluk 2021 is off to a great start

We had live music, played Frogger on the big screen, enjoyed the well-stocked bar, withstood the drizzle (with ponchos, blankets and brollies), welcomed many brave visitors and saw a wonderful film, a black-and-white directorial debut. Take a look at the pictures by Sofie Simao.

Pluk MINI: a day for the kids

Pluk de Nacht also organises an adventurous afternoon for the kids during the festival in Amsterdam. Sunday, August 29 from 2 p.m. With film and a lot of festive activities. Free entrance for everyone but adults should show their corona entry pass upon arrival.

Pluk on Tour @ Hembrug Zaandam

After a few summer evenings on the roof of the Volkshotel, we travel slightly north, to Zaandam. We settle on the industrial Hembrug site in the former projectiles and shells factory on the North Sea Canal. We will build an attractive pop up cinema there, which we will fill with comfy deckchairs. July 9, 10 and 11. Are you there?

This was Pluk 2019

That’s a wrap on this Summer of Pluk. It was a good one. A Dutch one. We cast out grey clouds, took shelter from downpours, did sundances, even hid from a whirlwind but we also endlessly basked in the sun holding drinks. And especially, we saw bizarre, wonderful, weird and unique films, gazed out over the IJ and talked things over by a toasty fire. Here are the pictures to reminisce…
