The youngsters in this German thesis film (!) are a bit older than the ones in And Your Bird Can Sing – and thus past their carefree stage. Sure, they still give it their best, celebrating a friend’s birthday with the same old brashness – from one bar to the next, sure what’s another beer, throw in a pill. But it’s not as freewheeling as it once was, and throughout the night they each ponder their future and the big three-oh.
