Talented gymnast Isabel is pregnant. She doesn’t want to be, but there’s a five-day waiting period before she’s allowed to have an abortion. Five long days.
Dutch filmmaker Sam de Jong stays close to Isabel through his graduation film Magnesium, which was selected for the prestigious Sundance festival. Every moment of those five days is colored by the fact that only Isabel knows that she’s pregnant. Nothing is normal anymore: a flirt can’t be innocent, a party at her parents’ house is uncomfortable, and there’s no way she can focus on the training sessions for the championship qualifier.
