“Dreamland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.” These words are the opening of Dreamland, in which Koji Ichihashi fervently unleashes at least his own imagination.
The first animated short directed by Koji, who previsouly worked as a producer, imagines the limitless growth conjured by those opening lines in vivid colour, in an endlessly expanding series of abstract movements, sliding shapes and Escherian distortions.
