Animation about a middle-aged couple staying in a fancy hotel room to reignite the spark of their relationship when it’s run out of steam. Can a new environment help break through the worn-in normalcy and lack of sexual excitement?
It’s a move you don’t see often in film: Sexy Laundry is claymation based on a stage play, written in 2002 by Canadian playwright Michele Riml and adapted into a short film by Polish director Izabela Plucinska. Considering the sagging clay bodies and the penis flopping dangerously about, you’ll shudder to think what it must have looked like on stage.
