Omar’s Life
- short

Attached to Omar’s Life for 7 minutes is a short film which gives us a look into Omar’s life. His life is a tragic piece of solitude, rejection and despair.
What’s most tragic about it, is that 7 minutes is more then enough to understand what he was and will be doing for the next couple of years.
Attached to Omars Life for 7 minutes is the latest film from director Robbert-Jan Vos starring Jan van Frankenhuijsen. It’s an independent movie which was sponsored by different companies and individual financers.
The short film was shot on HDV, and the camera was mounted to the main actor itself for 90 percent of the time. This custom made bodymount was developed especially by Cees Aloserij (grip4rigging.nl). Because the camera was worn by the actor during most of the film, it was difficult for cameramen Mark Huisman and Jelle Mulder to light the main character. Since the camera was fitted with a semi fish-eye lens there wasn’t much room to hide things off screen, so sometimes the lights too were attached to the bodymount, and thus the actor himself.
