Grandpa Walrus
- short

Grandpa Walrus, patriach of a French family, has died. Grandpa owed his nickname to his many days spent at the beach, being out of shape and smoking cigarettes. His heartbroken wife, daughter and grandchildren have come to Grandpa Walrus’s favourite spot on the beach to grieve.
Grandma intermittently wails and mumbles prayers. The daughter struggles to keep her mother consoled and her children reigned in. The youngest of the grandchildren, Lucas finds something strange when he wanders off into the dunes. This French animation, which was selected for the shorts competition in Cannes, tells a tale of loss and what comes after, painted in autumn colours.
