Bad idea of Colin’s, the social-climber eldest son in a working-class British family, gathering the whole bunch in an old mansion for a New Year’s party. Rather than smoothing over the old grudges, as he’d hoped, obviously everything will just escalate that much more. A family gathering along the lines of The Celebration except with pointed British humour and Brexit undertones.
