Unlucky-in-love twentysomethings tell of their travails on the dating circuit. This animated documentary short was nominated for over twenty awards at festivals all over the world.
At least two people in the Pluk audience will recognize the anecdotes, hopes and fears of Dateless‘s interview subjects: the couple seeking love in our immense blind date chair, who didn’t rely on a clumsily placed glass of beer or a lascivious wink of the eye, but let the festival set them up. The persons interviewed in Dateless are caught in Kyrikou’s playful animated style, freeing them up to share the joys and sorrows of modern dating. Recognizable, naieve and to-the-point.
