Remember Sawako Kabuki telling us she got dumped by her boyfriend after making her graduation project? This short focuses on Kabuki going through the sadness of her break-up, mixed in with the tense atmosphere in the air in Japan during the aftermath of Fukushima.
Kabuki, Pluk de Nacht’s artist in focus this year, really begins showing her quirky style in her first independently made film. Her line-drawings and erotic messages are brightly coloured for the first time, helping this celebration of sadness quickly go viral.
