Marina Abramović at MoMA

The setting is similar, and yet the complete opposite of The {} And. For her performance The Artist Is Present, Marina Abramović faced an endless parade of visitors to the retrospective of her work at MoMA in New York. There are no questions here – just silence. But that doesn’t mean there’s no communication, as becomes obvious when Abramović’s former lover Ulay sits down across from her.
